About me...

I am an illustrator, artist, lino printer & sign writer...

Since settling in Brighton in 2008, I have focused on printing with lino. Many of my prints, posters and cards are alternative takes on classic educational posters for kids. My alphabet poster is made up of noises such as "argh, boo and cock-a-doodle doo," rather than the traditional "apple, ball and cat." My 1-10 poster features the top ten most endangered species in 2013 according to WWF, all engaged in dangerous activities.

I sell my prints at craft fairs around Brighton and on  my Etsy shop                       .

I also love using type in my artwork as well as making the letter itself the subject of my print.

I learnt some of the beginnings of the fascinating trade of sign writing and have subsequently designed and hand painted shop fascias and signs as well as completing a mural in the garden of Fanny's of Hanover.

I am currently working on my first picture book, which I hope will be accessible to both children and adults, entitled The Grey Ghost. It incorporates pencil and paint as well as some very basic digital manipulation! Some of my favourite places in the world are featured and I'll be cramming all my favourite colour combinations into it as well as a lot of lovely grey!

For two years running I have organised Party for New Orleans- a group exhibition with a grand opening party. This year there was also a life drawing event at the Old Market Theatre, with a swamp, a cemetery and a monochrome Mardi Gras ball full of costumed models. Each show has opened with a party. This year's opening party had live music including Neon Saints brass band and of course the finest Southern cuisine. We raised money for a fantastic New Orleans arts charity called NoLA Rising.
